Sangat ("we", "our", "the app") is a Sikh Katha listening and search application. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
When you create an account, we collect:
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google. We do not access your Google contacts, calendar, or other data.
We use Firebase Analytics (by Google) to collect anonymous usage statistics such as app opens, screen views, and crash reports. This data is aggregated and cannot identify individual users.
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
Your data is stored on secure servers with encrypted connections (HTTPS). Account authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication (Google). Audio content is stored on Cloudflare R2 with encrypted transit.
You can delete your search history at any time from within the app. You can delete your entire account and all associated data directly from the Settings screen in the app. Account deletion is immediate and removes all your personal data, including saved clips, listening history, and search history.
Each service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.
The app contains religious and educational content suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
