Welcome to Sangat ("we", "our", "the app"), a Sikh Katha listening and search application. By using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
By creating an account or using Sangat, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use Sangat. If you are under 18, you should have permission from a parent or guardian.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Sangat provides access to Sikh religious and educational content. You agree to use the app respectfully and only for lawful purposes. You must not:
The katha recordings, transcriptions, and associated content available through Sangat belong to the original speakers, publishers, and rights holders. Sangat provides access to this content for personal, non-commercial, educational, and religious use. You may not redistribute, sell, or commercially exploit the content without permission from the respective rights holders.
Sangat allows you to save audio clips and maintain a listening history for your personal use. Saved clips are intended solely for your own reference and convenience. You may not use saved clips for commercial purposes or redistribute them.
We strive to keep Sangat available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. The app may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
Sangat is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data or interruption of service.
You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen within the app. Upon deletion, all your personal data, including saved clips, listening history, and search history, will be permanently removed. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
